Halls of residence
Guy Chester Centre provides single study bedrooms for 120 people, half board Monday to Friday and full board at weekends.
Our Purpose is to provide accommodation for young people moving into London for the first time. We are owned and managed by the Methodist Church. Through the Christian faith of our staff and management team we aim to provide a safe and caring house for all our residents.
Along with young people from all over the British Isles we have a large proportion of overseas residents with around 20 different nationalities represented at any time.
We accept people of all faiths and none, though residents are expected to be sympathetic to the House’s Christian principals. As a house for young people we have a upper age limit of 26, exceptions may be made to this for post graduate students or short stay guests.
Accommodation can be booked for any length of stay. Many students stay for the full length of their studies in London, others stay for 1 year or a just a term whilst finding their feet in London. Short stay accommodation is often available during holiday periods.
Priority will however be given to people seeking longer term accommodation. The house is managed daily by a team of residential staff who are available to give residents assistance, advice and deal with any emergencies.
