Training and Spirituality

The Guy Chester Centre is a centre for spirituality, prayer, hospitality and encounter. Here you can find space to reflect, to be, to think, to recover, to learn and grow, to feel welcomed and valued. we do this by offering a lovely place to be and able leadership of events that are well organised. we hope you will find something here that you will feel able to come to.

We run retreats and quiet days that provide both space and leadership that we hope will provide space to reflect, to be, to think, to recover, to learn and grow, to feel welcomed and valued.

We offer longer workshops, often in association with partner organisations such as Divorce Recovery Workshop and Bridge Builders.

We also run 'Toolbox for Life and Church' - a range of short training courses which enable you to examine aspects of life and Church and work in greater detail. Some of these are held on a series of Wednesday evenings, others run all day on Saturdays.

Methodist Focus are events that have been developed specifically to meet the needs of people thinking about God's call on their life or who are in training or have been ordained. Many of them have a wider applicability and we would be delighted to discuss them further with you.
