Being in full time ministry
can seem a very isolated, if not an actually lonely job. We often have
to hear difficult things, deal with painful situations, and cope with
fairly ill defined boundaries of time, space, and role. Stronger
Together is a short introductory course
addressing the
challenge of being in full time ministry by offering ways of improving
our collaborative ways of working. The course draws on the approaches
of other professions where different forms of supervision are considered
essential, as well as approaches specifically developed for those working
in Church pastoral situations. We work in an experiential way encouraging
course participants to try out some of the approaches during our time
together. |

If you come to the course you will need to bring some situations that you are currently facing in a sharable way! You will have an opportunity to talk about those situations in a safe and confidential environment and be encouraged to bring your own knowledge and experience to bear upon them. You will be offered some insights from the Centre’s team that we hope you will find insightful and helpful. Together we will look forwards and explore ways of taking what is learned back into the everyday world of our work. |
